Review of Melancholia (2011) by Bianca B — 24 Apr 2014
Strikingly beautiful, this film is meant to watch on a big screen. It is an art piece, it's slow paced so that you can painfully make out your own interpretation . At times it is hard to watch. The protagonist is not usually the person you like but can somewhat relate to if have an open heart.
Dunst hardly speaks throughout the film but her performance is superb. Overall if you can appreciate great film making and endure being emotionally stirred, you will really enjoy it.
