Review of Melancholia (2011) by Hawk _ — 18 Nov 2014
I can't really articulate in words how beautiful this movie is. It depicts the life of two sisters on the last few days of the world. Kristen Dunst gives a stunning performance of someone suffering from clinical depression.
This film is long and it feels it, but it uses that time to wrap you up in the humanity of the situation. Their is such a degree of hopelessness in the movie and it will stay with you years after you've seen it.
