Review of Melancholia (2011) by Lola M — 03 May 2013
This is one of those films that while watching it you are thinking "meh" but after it finishes it leaves you feeling satisfied. Kirsten Dunst is slowly becoming one of my favourite actresses and she is phenomenal in this.
I like what drove the director to this was the theory that people who are dealing with depression tend to be more calm in a crises because they already expect the worst. Definitely a film that makes you think.
Also adding the Tristen&Isolde theme was genius.
