Review of Megamind (2010) by Whit W — 29 Jun 2012

"Megamind" is a good but mostly forgettable animation action movie. It's got likeable characters, some neat action set pieces and really impressive 3D. Metro Man is a superhero I'd like to see get his own movie and Titan would be a worthy lunk of an adversary. The main villian, Megamind, is the problem here. He starts out too likeable as the baddie so when his plan to thwart Metro Man actually works, he's left as the lead in the movie. But he's really kind of boring as a villian and he's generic as a reformed good guy.

Again, there are some really terrific 3D tricks in this. It looks fantastic and there are some pretty clever laughs throughout. But "The Incredibles" it ain't.
