Review of Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus (2010) by Dan D — 24 May 2012
We're back here again for more giant monster shenanigans. This time the Mega Shark irritates Crocosaurus by having some of her eggs. Meanwhile a generic shark expert, that's lost his fiance, and a crocodile hunter join forces to take them both down.
No plot, but at least they tried to make the characters interesting, such as White forgetting his fiance is dead. Not the best acting, but it sure was damn funny. If only these films matched up to the covers.
There was some rough and tumble spectacle. As a tidal wave washes the shark onto a city, it flops around in hilarious fashion. Most of the effects seem to have no effect on their surroundings, and people just vanish under the beasts.
As always there is some great terrible dialogue, but I think in a year or two they will just be reusing the same footage and SFX to create "new" films.
