The remarkable thing about Meet Me in St. Louis isn't just how enjoyable, and dare I say magical, it can be but rather just how effortlessly it seems to accomplish being so enjoyable. At the drop of a hat Judy Garland can begin singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and it immediately becomes one of the greatest Christmas moments on film.
