Review of Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) by Chris M — 04 Sep 2016
Vincente Minnelli's musical tells the story of a family who faces the possibility of moving away from their happy and cheerful lives in St. Louis all the way up to New York. Meet Me in St. Louis has some memorable musical numbers with the best being "The Trolley Song" and director Vincente Minnelli knows how to bring a musical visually to life with the settings and the bright, colorful cinematography.
But what makes Meet Me in St. Louis so special for me is its story since I could personally identify with what the family was going through and how they were feeling.
