Review of Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) by Alec B — 15 Oct 2018
Possibly my favorite film of all time. I was obsessed with Judy Garland as a child. I'm still obsessed with Judy and her one of kind ,glorious talent, Everything about this film is perfect, the.
casting, the performances, Vincente Minnelli's direction, the art direction, the cinematography and the the musical score. This film is a precious gem that still shines. (although I have to admit that most of the time the beguiling and precocious Margaret O'Brien almost steals the film....her performance as Tootie is my favorite performance given by a child.).
