A somewhat forgotten Capra classic and one of Gary Cooper's best performances. "Meet John Doe" is an amazing and unforgetable story about an average all-american guy who gets thrust into a lie that inspires thousands of people.
Everything about this movie is perfect: the drama, the jokes, the cast, its great editing and photography, and most of all that bit before the end; one of those stand up and cheer moments those old movies had right before they punched you in the gut and broke your heart.
A must see for any movie buff.
