Serves as a nice warm-up for "It's Wonderful Life." Totally Kapra sentimental happy ending melodrama. Stanwyck in one of her most memorable performances. Sure, like many of his films it is idealistic, but works as a sort of an American values parable.
"Be a better neighbor" presages "Pay it Forward".
