Review of Meet Joe Black (1998) by Michael A — 27 Mar 2013
- A captivating, thought provoking film. The two main problems I had with it though is it's seemingly experimental pacing which made it seem hard to concentrate on the movie and made it even harder for the actors to really hook you, although they did a brilliant job. It's a matter of directing and producing and I just didn't like it's slow, sometimes even uneventful flow.
- Also, the score was beautiful but didn't really mash up with certain emotional elements that was portrayed in the film at times. You'd have one instance where they chose a remarkable song to back up an emotion and then another which felt like they just sort of didn't care/ran out of material.
- Over all a good film and a must see, if you have the time.
