Review of Meet Joe Black (1998) by Judge_Redd — 30 May 2016
With proper editing, this could have been widdled into a respectable film. The soundtrack is ace and Anthony Hopkins delivers better than anyone else could. Still, the romantic subplot fell flat and lifeless, with Brad Pitt coming across dimwitted, slow and yet more successful with woman than me. The story had promise, and I think it would have been well served to have cut out the heaviest immersions into that gag-worthy romantic storyline.
All in all I'd give this a 5/10 because it can still be enjoyed if you have the time and inclination for it.
