Review of Meek's Cutoff (2011) by Mary-Kate G — 14 May 2011
Whew... a film that makes one eternally grateful for running water, plumbing, shelter, three squares -- and that a very different generation undertook the trek west. Had to go rehydrate after this. Michelle Williams is great, Will Patton righteous, and Bruce Greenwood channeling his inner Kris Kristofferson.
PS. This film can be judged 'dull' only by those whose expectations are for the typical cineplex boffo socko. Praise be that a film like Meek's Cut-off can still be made.
