Review of Meek's Cutoff (2011) by Paul B — 24 Jun 2011
Three out of five stars. Interesting neo-Western with director Kelly Reichardt and Michelle Williams, perhaps the finest actress of her generation, teaming up for another indie journey after their terrific film, "Wendy and Lucy".
Not a lot happens in either film, but both director and actress force you to look beneath the surface at characters under stress and offer rewarding insights about the human condition.
