The pacing of Meek's Cutoff will be the deal breaker for a lot of viewers. I don't mind the pacing, as it reflects the slow and arduous journey of these families, and I can't imagine a faster pace making it any better.
The acting is all fine, but Michelle Williams is always stunning to watch. Her performance is the heart of this movie. It might not be a blockbuster but it's a good film with an interesting ending.
