Review of Medicine Man (1992) by Jennifer A — 24 Mar 2006
I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews. .

I Love Trouble is a rotten romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte. .

Encino Man starring Pauly Shore and Brendan Fraser is about as bad (and dumb) as Hollywood comedies come. An ex BF of mine loved this movie, but he also thought Duece Bigelow was the greatest comedy of all time. I sure know how to pick them :-(.

Medicine Man, directed by John McTiernan, stars Sean Conneru as a scientest living in the Amazon rain forest with assistant Lorraine Bracco. The acting is good, the film is beautifully shot, but the story often meanders. An interesting idea that isn't executed all that well. .

Robin Hood: Men In Tights, directed by Mel Brooks, is a comedy/spoof of the Robin Hood stories. Unfortunately Mel Brooks' magical comedic touch had long been exhaused by the time we reached the 90's.
