Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Curtis M — 02 Sep 2008
A crime classic! In my opinion this film is almost as influential as The Godfather in the crime genre. You notice while watching the film the same camera angles and shots and mood he used in many of his later films most notably Goodfellas which implies that Mean Streets is a main factor in Scorsese's film-making.
Robert DeNiro is jaw-dropping! One of his best performances! Harvey Keitel is also great and so are the other actors. Dazzling, sizzling directing by Martin Scorsese! Great script, gritty film, amazing directing, and Oscar-worthy acting.
Seriously what more can u get?
