Small truth: there are times when you have to stop facilitating obnoxious people. The movie harps on this, and oh yeah, Charlie, the main character, did grow up Catholic. You'll hear a good bit about that.
Lotta bar fights and general 70's grime. Scorcese has done better. Nice soundtrack!
