Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Reuben P — 21 Jun 2012
Possibly Martin Scorsese's masterpiece. The camera work has to be some of the greatest I have seen. Not even to mention Johnny Boy, who has to be the perfect character for this movie. It is impossible to think of any better character for this film.
Aside from the stunning camera work and complex character study, it has a vivid story that showed a whole new perspective of the gangster genre, a more intriguing side. An essential viewing for everyone.
