Review of Mean Streets (1973) by Brett H — 15 Feb 2013
Breakthrough Scorsese film that I was hoping would wow me, but apart from a scene-stealing performance from De Niro, nothing much happens plotwise to make it an engaging film. Basically a film about small-time crooks relying on their instincts to survive, apart from the ending and the drunk party scene, nothing stands out.
