Review of Mean Girls (2004) by Chris B — 04 Jun 2015

I'm not sure if this film was not aimed at me or if it has become a film which has created tropes that are now used in multiple films but I didn't think it was as good as I was supposed to. Lindsay Lohan's performance was not engaging and I always felt the film was holding back from more R rated material.

I have read subsequently that the film was altered to avoid such a rating but I still felt that the film suffered because of this. That said I wasn't bored and I would say it was worth a watch even if it's too see actresses who would go onto greater heights (Amanda Seyfried) playing a ditsy blonde.
