Review of Mean Girls (2004) by Marie Y — 30 Dec 2013
A teen's favourite film forever, mean girls is a film which really illiterates high school life in America. You have the jocks, the cheerleaders, the populars, the geeks etc. This film not only shows that you should stick with your own pride who will be there for you, but it's like the coming of adolescence film as well.
It may contain a bit of dirty humor and the slight awkwardness, but what matters is the memorable characters and what just happened. Lindsay's performance is highly genuine and truthful as she can portray the good and sweet Angel, but then a rebellious chick comes out of her, so she's capable of anything.
Janis and Damian were fun loving and very supportive in the film which is why for me, they're so memorable and lovable outside of that. The plastics were hilarious, especially Amanda's character who had a hidden sweetness about her.
As a whole, mean girls isn't just funny, it's got great meaning behind it too.
