So I see some of the negative reviews primarily talk about it sugar-coating life and a relationship with disability. And yeah, it does that. But you know what? It's a movie, not a documentary. It's only purpose is to tell a love story, not the gruesome details of the ugly side.

If you love someone who can't take care of themself, you don't see the things you have to do for them. You don't think about that stuff, you just do it, and it's no big deal because that's not what you remember when you're talking with them, having fun with them, experiencing things together, so why should the audience feel any differently? The hard truth is, if most people saw what living with a disabled person is really like, they would be disgusted and put off.

They wouldn't be able to see past it, and the love story that the movie is trying to tell never would have gotten through. It would just be a sad (and not in a good way) uncomfortable movie that makes you feel bad about life or yourself instead of the charming story of REAL love that only comes from knowing a person long enough to look past the things they don't have.

As usually, look at the AUDIENCE review, NOT the critics.
