Drowns in its own "performance art" sensibilities, but that doesn't mean there isn't any humanity or tenderness to be found in the muck. I might not like this movie just because of how "quirky" it is, because there really isn't anything much wrong with it.
It's original, I'll give it that. Reminds me of The Squid and the Whale, but with less structure.
