Review of Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) by Brian R — 04 Dec 2012
Such a great great film. This film is a masterpiece. It is humourous, charming, honest, and memorable. Miranda July has written and directed a powerful picture that I don't even have the words to explain due to my amazement.
My fav scene is when Miranda July and John Hawkes is walking down the street together and she mentions to him that this is the start of their lives. Already the scene is truthful and touching. Now they're both halfway through the street and they will be coming to end. July told a powerful story within a few minutes about life. People are born, grow up, fall in love, will eventually raise a family, and towards the end of their lives come to an end or die. It is one of those scenes that stuck on my mind for a long time. MYAEWK is cinema at it's finest.
