Review of Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) by Ryan C — 27 Jul 2010
This film is definitly not something that will be loved by everyone as the humor can be offputting and a bit quirky. But if that is the kind of humor you like then the film does do it quite well. But it doesnt do it too much, it still takes itself seriously.
As each of the characters goes through life trying to make sense out of things like love, and heartbreak, the director does a great job of putting the viewer right their with the characters and really makes the viewer feel sympathy for everyone.
The script was especially intriguing as it was very insightful and thought provoking. and the direction from Miranda July was very clever and moving, and the performances from the whole cast were superb.
In conclusion this film is one of the more powerful character studies of late and for anyone who likes films with a powerful and clever script it is highly recomended.
