Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Amanda P — 12 Dec 2009
Christian McKay is amazing. Everyone else is amateurish at best. Ephron and Danes are particularly horrendous -- especially for a movie about acting. Linklater doesn't know what tone or pace he wants, so the movie stumbles in fits and starts, and most times has the depths of an episode of "The Wonder Years.
" The art direction is cheap and gaudy -- more historical costume than a period piece.
