Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Jason E — 17 Jan 2010
After seeing the poster for this I initially wrote it off, mainly due to Zac Efrons smug face staring back at me. I only wanted to see it after hearing Kermodes review of it. I?m so very glad I did. Christian Mckay delivers an astonishing Orson Wells who carries an engaging story of the backstage minutia of putting on a groundbreaking play.
It made me thirst for more knowledge of Orson Wells beyond Citizen Kane and War of the Worlds, It also made me do a 180 on Zefron as he was bloody great in this, he could have a big future that boy. The fact this was made by the man who made Slackers all those years ago blows my tiny mind.
