Defintely an interesting film that focuses on a key part of Welles' history, working on the Broadway show that cemented his Boy Genuis status in the entertainment industry and paved the way for his eventual arrival in Hollywood, as witnessed by a high school student who was in the right place at the right time to see and learn from the intimidating master of industry.
Mckay as Wells is a true find as he embodies the director perfectly in voice, personality and presence, through all his faults and triumphs. Outside of that, Me and Orson is an ok movie that could have been a little more intense and is a little high on theatre gloss/loving look back at the day to be a little more accesible or interesting to general audiences who aren't as familiar with this time in theatre history.
Might have been a bit niche to fully perform well in theatres since it came and went so quickly.
