Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by G. Brandon H — 29 Sep 2010
An average coming-of-age tale set around the fantastic backdrop of Orson Welles' chaotic theater production of Julius Caesar. Zac Efron might not be a "god created actor" but he definitely proves himself as a genuine talent.
Of course, the true showstopper is Christian McKay's egomaniac director and I'd love to see his Welles One Man Show. Great costumes, set design, and a charming story don't quite take this above the genre but if you're a fan of cinema or a High School Musical junkie (or maybe a 17 Again junkie, huh, huh? That movie is cool too!) than you'll enjoy Me & Orson Welles.
