Very entertaining film directed by Richard Linklater about Orson Welles early days in the theater. It stars Zac Efron as a high school student who manages to get an acting gig for Orson Welles production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
This is just a really fun movie and Christian McKay is extremely awesome as Welles, he steals every scene he's in, it's quite the commanding performance. Efron wasn't too bad, but when you've got so many better performances surrounding you, it's kind of tough to make an impact, especially when you're pretty much the lead.
Regardless, this is a great film about the theatre and the process of making art. A real underrated gem.
