Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by J C — 11 Sep 2011
Good, but not great. Christian Mckay's portayal of Orson Welles is excellent, and the feeling that you are seeing a genius (Welles) being born helps carry the film. However, Zac Efron's character is unecessary, and his acting lacks the depth, style and gravitas required for an homage to such a genius.
Still, a decent movie from an historical perspective, and gives a good enough glimpse into the genius and enigma that was Orson Welles.
