Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Paul W — 18 Dec 2011
An okay if still charming look at theatrical shenanigans with Orson Welles. Unfortunately, the period feel of the film is forced and the characters are painted in broad strokes. Zac Efron is engaging, Christian McKay does a spot-on Welles (though there's not much fire in his performance ultimately) and Claire Danes is a dull wash.
If you're interested in this general period of time on Broadway, I recommend the more compelling "Cradle Will Rock" by Tim Robbins.
