This reminds me of Moonrise Kingdom. West Anderson type of style. Thank god its not. I fell asleep in the middle of the movie right around the time it slows down and becomes boring. Its a coming of age story.

and when I woke up again the film became tolerable. yet what it is with death and how art portrays it? This film is too much aware of itself, and it made me hope it could not do this whole sad music thing during a sad moment.

its a "good" sad moment film wise. yet the film set itself for self awareness in the beginning and then let it go near the end. Its good film making when relating it to the selfish nature of the character, and him having to face himself in the end.
