Review of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015) by Damar O — 03 Jan 2016
Comparative to its novel source material, I found this film to be a pleasantly surprising, thanks to its inset surrealism. This is courtesy of the short film parodies of classic movie that protagonist Greg makes with quirky co-worker/friend Earl.
When his mum insists he spends time with Rachel, a girl in his class who has been diagnosed with cancer, the two begin a reluctant friendship that moves him from social anonymity to the spotlight.
