Ugh! Normally I wouldn't mind "quirky" indie dramas like this. But if you're going to copy stuff wholesale from Wes Anderson and Micheal Gondry, try and at least do it right and not throw it in there "just because". The worst kind of quirk is forced quirk. And this movie has it in spades.
All fake quirk and no soul. Incredibly annoying protagonist. Bullshit forced emotional manipulation via cancer.
Just fucking awful.
