There's nothing secret or surprising about this movie. And I don't really think Costner is anything special ... at times even seeming bored with what he's doing. But I still loved the movie.
It displays what I love about teaching ... the hard things kids overcome in their efforts to "grow up". My favorite scene is the last ... and I think yours will be too.
