Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by Martin P — 13 Dec 2015
I had found watching this film enjoyable although on retrospect, this is potentially just another zombie movie unfortunately, as it apparently deviated just enough to be different from the novel (so I heard).
Following the introduction of this instalment at the end of the first episode, I eagerly anticipated this second episode of the trilogy to be "Phase Two" of an experiment. Unfortunately, what the team needed to achieve was rather blurry, except "running away from danger". Every settings could have been yet another maze to solve, but this was not meant to be. We learned of the secret, that the "cure" is at present temporary andneeds to be continually harvested from living immune individuals, mostly young children/adults. And WICKED is the company that hires a medical doctor who firmly believes that the end justifies the means.
Anyway, third instalment will possibly be just another hero movie, and I am going to read the novel to get the original story.
