Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by Dustin O — 19 Oct 2015
A movie franchise geared at tweens has a club scene where people take hallucinogens and then grind on each other sexually while club music plays. Way to indoctrinate our youth, Hollywood, you soulless beast of satan.
Oh sure, it's made to look unpleasant, but we know what you're about. Why even write that into a story? Ridiculous. Meanwhile, pushers at school will just have to say, "You've seen Scorch Trials, right? Remember how cool it was when they hallucinated? Take these, it's just like that! Everything will feel cool too!" and they're one step closer to taking drugs.
Not only that, but the film was just so dry and pretty and shallow.
