Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by Farah R — 18 Mar 2016
The script strayed so far from the book it's hard to believe Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is a book adaptation. Wes Ball stepped it up from The Maze Runner but took the plot so far it's overwhelming at times and underwhelming at others.
It starts out on an exciting note only to diminish half an hour into the movie. The "middle" felt so excruciatingly long and boring it took forever to reach the climax which was the best part.
The ending was a good cliffhanger leaving its audience excited to see the next installment.
