Review of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) by Mark P — 30 Jun 2016
This movie was poorly scripted, poorly directed, and had a piss poor vision. The first movie was not an all time great, but it was an entertaining watch none the less.
If the appeal of the book is that like the characters you have no idea what is going on most of the time, or why it is going on, then they hit a home run. The characters carry out throughout the entire movie stopping and waiting for the threat to catch up just so that they can see them, like they were trying to die in an 80s horror movie. The childish behavior of the lead and his desire to "leave no one behind" is both unconvincing and down right irritating at times.
I encourage you to sit this movie out because there is not one single thing that shines in the 2 hours and 13 minutes outside the credits.
