Review of May (2008) by Vinouel John L — 29 Mar 2012
There are no specters, gloomy lodges, frightful and heart-throbbing scenes in this great horror film. There is just a girl with a lazy eye who can't find friends. But this film perfectly delineates madness and despondency. The ghastly scenes are those that evoke obsession and truculence. Angela Bettis effectively portrayed her terrifying yet pitiful character.
Trying to make a good horror film is like trying to nail a jelly to the wall. To see a good horror film like "May" is a great experience.
