Review of May (2008) by Matt M — 14 Jun 2013
The typical story of the friendless child that grows up to be a strange and freaky girl with a strange attraction to blood turns into a bizarre and darkly humorous film by first time feature director Lucky McKee who slows down the pace and doesn't let the commercial aspects of the horror genre take over the bizarre and meticulous character study.
Nevertheless, this film is a little too precious and stylistically blends in with many of the same kind from its time.
