Review of May (1936) by Sarah M — 06 Sep 2010
I first watched May when I was probably too young to really understand it. I rented it from this little independent video store that has since become a victim of the times. I watched it with my friend Katie, who was originally got me into the horror scene and everything. Recently, I rewatched it and I enjoyed it far more than I did the first time.
May is creepy and very witty, often times funny and somewhat sad. It is not for everyone, that is for certain, but it very enjoyable and I might mention that it is the most witty retelling/modernization of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein I've seen- the most creative, too.
