Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Sarah M — 11 Nov 2017

Having seen a number of Ahaha Christie adaptations (my mother is a big fan), many of them bored me...but this one definitely did not. It added the human interest and drama you'd expect to see from such a story that is oddly lacking from the other versions. Every star shines from Leslie Odom Jr, Daisy Ridley, right up to Dame Judy Dench and Michelle Pfeiffer, the latter two of which steal the finale from Branagh himself.

I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves a whodunit or sweeping vistas or both...but especially those who love movies that are crafted with the care and imagination that Branagh is famous for.
