Never played the computer game, but if I did I expect it would be very similar to the film - gun fight, plot filler cut scene, gun fight, plot filler cut scene, gun fight, plot filler cut scene, final gunfight.
Only difference would be that the game would suit that format. The film, sadly, did not and was indeed Payne-ful.
