Review of Max Payne (2008) by Lebo B — 14 Aug 2012
Not nearly as bad as it first appears. Standard revenge plot mixed with a straightforward mystery make for a forgettable story. They do follow it through to the letter though without straying too far into the weird realm.
Everything on screen is explainable within the world created. The action scenes and special effects were pretty well done. Wahlberg and Kunis add some appeal to a no name cast. And chris Odonnell makes an appearence for the first time in like a decade.
All in all, it's good mindless fun. Worth a watch.
