Review of Max (2002) by Suman S — 04 Sep 2008
Overall, this film is excellent. The cinematography, the realistic locations in which the film was shot is excellent, and the actors are very believable. John Cusack as Max provides the perfect blend of fatherly tutor as well as patronising celebrity.
Noah Taylor as the young Hitler has his part down to perfection; accent and all. The women in the film, Leelee Sobieski as Liselore von Peltz; Max's love interest and Molly Parker as Nina Rothman are on good form.
Their characters are slightly under developed but overall, this film has the potential of a masterpiece.
