A passionate affair turns into a nagging nuisance while our hero refuses to leave his wife, family and job, not even when the mistress gets pregnant. The hero tries to commit the perfect murder, and in the end comes away with it through sheer luck.
The stolen ring that could have incriminated him, was found on someone else. The movie shows how much someone's success or failure sometimes just depends on a solid dose of random luck.
