Review of Match Point (2005) by Scott I — 13 Feb 2014
Woody Allen has stepped into far darker territory with this film, but it works just as well as his other great works of the past. It happens to be pretty comical at some points too, despite the tragic story and rotten characters.
The comedy, though, that Allen brings this time relies more on blatant foreshadowing for characters' tragic situations during the film. It may seem like a darker drama, but you will find yourself laughing a bit behind all the wincing.
